Corinne Dekkers
Corinne Dekkers is a Canadian-American educator and poet. Born in Calgary and raised in the US, she completed her MFA in Creative Writing and Poetics from Naropa University’s Jack Kerouac School of Disembodied Poetics and her PhD in Creative Writing and Contemporary Poetry from the University of Southern Mississippi’s Center for Writers. She is an Assistant Professor of Practice and Coordinator of Honors Composition for the School of Writing, Literature, and Digital Humanities.

Awards and Honors:
Corinne Dekkers' creative work has been recognized through the Leslie Scalapino Award in Women’s Experimental and Postmodern Poetry and Poetics, the Robert Creeley Award, the Ted Berrigan Award, the Twisted Run Work-Write Residency, Product Magazine’s Poetry Prize, and was named a finalist for the Omnidawn 1st/2nd Book Prize, the Beullah Rose Poetry Prize, the Haleakalā National Park Artist in Residence program, and the Laureate Prize. Her recent writing can be found through Puerto del Sol, Denver Quarterly, fonograf editions, Smartish Pace, Tolsun Books, and elsewhere, and has been adapted for ritual and performance.
