Public Safety Management
I started in the fire service in 1975. I joined the Edge-Scott Volunteer Fire Department. I was hired at the Urbana Fire Department in 1977. I retired after 25.5 years of service. I took the Danville Fire Chief's job and worked their for three years. I was offered the Fire Chief's job in Kenosha Wisconsin and also worked there for three years. Once I retired, I was hired as the Fire Chief in Litchfield Illinois. I was there fire chief for five years and had to retired to health issues.
Education
I have a Bachelor's degree from SIU and the Master's degree in Public Administration from Governor State University. I also graduated from the National Academy's Executive Fire Officer program.Courses
