Samira Vafay Eslahi
Dr. Samira Vafay Eslahi’s research focuses on advancing signal and image processing techniques and machine learning methodologies for medical imaging applications. During her Ph.D. at Texas A&M University, she developed novel Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) reconstruction techniques and proposed an evolutionary-based Neural Architecture Search algorithm to optimize MRI reconstruction, with applications in MRI scan acceleration. She subsequently completed a two-year postdoctoral research fellowship at the Gordon Center for Medical Imaging at Harvard Medical School and Massachusetts General Hospital, where she developed multimodal, deep-learning–based Positron Emission Tomography denoising techniques that leverage MRI priors and contributed to the development of MRI quantification methods.
