Research Interests:

My current dissertation research and program development focus on recruitment and retention within the fire service. Drawing on current workforce trends, this work explores the creation of a structured pathway that allows individuals to begin fire service and emergency medical technician (EMT) training while still in high school and earning dual credit through the local community college. The proposed model includes the development of local fire department cadet programs, along with sponsored paramedic education and foundational fire academy training completed prior to eligibility for career fire department testing.
