Sherrie Harlow
Office Hours: Online - Weekly 8 am - 4 pm and available for synchronous sessions.
Ms. Harlow joined the social work program in 2019. She previously held positions with Southern Illinois Health Care as the Director of Mental and Behavioral Health Services and Program Director, SIU Integrated Assessment Program. She has over two decades of practice experience in administration, child welfare, and mental and behavioral health services. She is a member of the National Association of Social Workers. She has served on various task forces and work groups including, but not limited to, Illinois Hospital Administration, Illinois Healthcare and Family Services Telemedicine Taskforce, Illinois Children’s Mental Health Partnership Early Intervention Workgroup, Illinois Opioid Crisis Response Advisory Council Member, and IBSA Administrative group co-chair.

Research Interest:
Mental and behavioral health, child welfare, psychosocial disorders. Ms. Harlow has presented on the topics of Screening and Brief Intervention for Alcohol and other Drug abuse, Child Welfare, Grief, Mental Health, Managing Stress and Anxiety in the Workplace. Ms. Harlow has also coauthored a study relevant to Correlates of Multiple Placements in Foster Care.
