Steven Goetz
Goetz began flying in 2004 and turned that passion into a career dedicated to teaching and mentoring future pilots. He is a Gold Seal CFI, CFII, MEI, AGI, IGI, ATP, and A&P mechanic. He started at Southern Illinois University Carbondale (SIUC) in 2008 and is currently an associate professor in the School of Aviation, providing flight training and evaluations. Beyond the classroom, he shares aviation with youth through summer camps and Young Eagles flights. As an FAA Safety Team representative and designated pilot examiner, Goetz continues to shape the next generation of aviators with enthusiasm and expertise.
