Stephen Douglas

Dr. Douglas joined the faculty at SIU in Fall 2025 after serving as a Research Associate at the Crime and Justice Policy Lab at the University of Pennsylvania and completing his PhD in Criminology and Criminal Justice at Northeastern University. Originally from Northern Ireland, Stephen worked as a police officer in Aberdeenshire, Scotland, before starting his PhD. His research interests focus on evidence-based policing, crime and place, and situational crime prevention.
