Dr. Habeeb Abbas earned his Ph.D. in Civil Engineering from Southern Illinois University Carbondale, where he later joined the School of Civil, Environmental, and Infrastructure Engineering as a faculty member. His teaching emphasizes bridging engineering theory with real world application. Dr. Abbas professional background includes the design and construction of concrete and steel structures, along with teaching and research in academia.

Research Interests:

Ground motion modeling, Machine learning, Structural earthquake engineering, Structural design of buildings and bridges using steel, and reinforced concrete.
